CST Links
- Come take a look at our MySpace page. Stop by, leave a comment, send us a friend request, use our music on your own page. We also maintain a calendar of events there, in the spirit of redundancy.
- Interested in checking out our Electronic Press Kit (it can also be reached by the much more intuitive URL http://www.sonicbids.com/centralstandardtime)? This is a set of of basic information, pictures, song clips, biographical whatnot that we send to venues; it's a nice, compact introduction to the band.
- Perhaps you prefer Facebook over MySpace? Well, here's a link to our Facebook profile. Log in, become a fan, post clever things on our wall, listen to some of our songs, check out CST events on yet another calendar...
- And just in case you remain unsatisfied with our Internet presence, we have yet another option for you. Take a look at our iLike page. You can also access our iLike page via Facebook. Here, too, you can make it known you're a fan of CST. Once you've done so, you can post clever things on our wall, listen to some of our songs, check out CST events on yet another calendar... Hey, this sounds familiar... Nice to have options, though.
- These links are already on the store page, but don't forget that we have CDs for sale at CD Baby and other fabulous merchandise for sale at CafePress!
Other Music Links
- Storyhill is our favorite band and a huge influence on our music. Chris and John are the best there is at what they do, and super nice guys to boot.
- Cross the Sky Music is the online home of Paul Frantsen, a friend of ours from EWALU who writes music and prepares skits, musicals, and other resources for camp and youth groups. And he plays a mean game of basketball.
- Justin Roth is an incredible songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist.
- Peter Mayer writes breathtaking songs about the beauty and mystery of the world.
- Public Radio KUNI - the people at KUNI are big supporters of folk music, and especially of local musicians. Tune in to 90.9 FM on Monday nights at 7:00 for a live performance show called "Live From Studio One."
- Legion Arts is a Cedar Rapids-based organization that promotes the arts in all forms. They also run one of the most wonderful venues you'll find anywhere! The building itself is called CSPS, and houses an art gallery and a very intimate theater-style venue with fantastic sound. These fine people keep super busy all year 'round promoting and supporting local, regional, national and international artists and musicians.
- The Mud River Music Cooperative was an Iowa City-based organization dedicated to promoting local music. The organization is now defunct, but the majority of the folks who were involved are still around, still making music, and still enriching the Iowa City area.
