Tune in next time…

Filed under: shows, radio — Matt @ 8:22 am

Our live, in-studio performance on KRUI has been postponed. We’re not playing today at 5:00 as originally advertised, but instead have pushed back the show until Saturday, September 12. Same time, same frequency.

Last night we played the Java House in downtown Iowa City, which has always been a pleasant enough show. Last night’s was particularly fun, though. We had a few surprise fans show up, which was cool, and reeled in a few new fans, which was also quite cool. We also played a Disney tune for the first time ever during a concert. That was interesting, but apparently entertaining. Thanks for coming out last night if you were one of the folks in attendance.

  1. I loved your show!! So glad my friend suggested we come. I am checking out your website now. I just found a singer online who does the “Dear Abby” song complete with video, such as a close up of long feet, so I can now enjoy the song anytime! I am the one who borrowed your shirt (sorry, I forgot which of you is which, to address you by name). You probably think I am a nut, but I recently moved and my life - and my mind sometimes - is chaotic since my home is also chaotic - it kind of goes together. But I love to have fun and meet people and I did that last night.

What was the exact name of the last song you played last night? My friend heard you say it was originally done by someone else. She said the name is ” Let’s Sing This Song Together” but I can’t find it by going to Google.

    Thanks so much, guys. Marti

  2. Thanks, Marti! Glad you enjoyed the show.

The last song we played was called “Campfire on the Taylor Fork” by another acoustic duo named Storyhill (though they called themselves Chris & Johnny at the time they recorded “Campfire”). There’s a link to Storyhill’s web site on our links page. They released “Campfire” on a CD called Different Waters, which I believe is out of print. That’s too bad, because it’s a great CD. You could probably still track down a copy somewhere.

Thanks again. Make sure you sign up on our email list if you haven’t already.
